Acquisition of Munich Re run-off portfolios, with the approval of BaFin.


A turning point in the history of AXA LM: the company decides to open up to outside players and acquire run-off portfolios on behalf of third parties. Acquisition of BF Rück (2009), EXKO pool and other non-public transactions.


After a period of impressive growth, AXA LM solidifies its organisation and builds the foundation of a strategy based on external growth.


Internal expansion and construction of an international platform: creation of AXA LM United Kingdom (2001), Belgium (2002), United States (2003), Germany (2005), Switzerland (2006).


Creation of AXA LM in France, a manager of legacy insurance and reinsurance business on behalf of the AXA Group.
